Teaching, Planting & Building in Tanzania

Dr. Terry & Rev. Marilyn Weaver - Africa

Terry & Marilyn's ministry centers around the unreached tribes of Tanzania and have concentrated their efforts among the Barbaiq and Hadzabe people.

Teaching: Terry & Marilyn work closely with Pastor Nanyaro and have recently finished translating and teaching Bible school courses at their new churches.  All the materials need to be translated from English to the native Swahili language.  Those who attend have an open heart for reaching their neighbors in a region that is primarily Muslim.  Their needs in this area relate to: teaching materials, translation services, school supplies and outreach support/funding.

New Churches: Under the leadership of our Barbaiq student, Daniel, the Barbaiq have finally begun to include the women in the church.  It has taken nearly two years to convince the men that the women should be included.  With the Hadzabe, the major road block is water. Their needs in this area relate to:  the funding for a new well & cattle dipping trough at the Hadzabe missions station/church.

Construction: As these churches begin to grow, the facilities need to expand. There is an ongoing project for making extra room for new Bible students.  Their needs in this area relate to: bunk beds, kitchen/bathroom facilities, doors, shutters & exterior plastering.

May the Lord Bless you for your prayers and support that will show the Barbaiq and Hadzabe people that God is good and worthy to be praised.

Sincerely,

Dr. Terry & Rev. Marilyn Weaver
